General Goals for May 2001:
----------------------------
- Finalize plans for team member career development based on outcomes
from last month's meetings
- Provide cost allocation data for VDIN rate setting effort
- Provide finance team with input for new EAST FY2002 budget
- Work with Roger and Bob to resolve question of EAST operational role
- Incorporate team member suggestions into team web page.
- Plan for eventual transfer of InfoPrint Manager to EAST
- Plan for eventual transfer of Events Calendar to EAST
- Plan JAVA learning (both proctical and classroom) for team members
- Begin discussions with ITAG about VPNs
- Update team information in IS Work database
General Accomplishments for May 2001:

- Provided cost allocation data for VDIN rate setting effort.
- Provided Ken Higgins with input for EAST FY2002 budget.
- Incorporated additional suggestions into EAST web page.
- Began planning transfer of InfoPrint Manager to EAST.
- Met with Stephen Turner re EAST taking over Events Calendar application
- Met with Barbara Goguen re EAST taking over CaseTracker application
- Made preliminary plans to launch a Java learning project.
- Bob Ferrara added EAST web page URL to team entry in IS Work Database.
- 2 new desktop machines were ordered for Jana and Kelly.
- Orderd JBuilder Computer Based Training CD for use by team members
General Goals for June 2001:

COEUS Goals for May 2001:

- Work with Mohammad to build/Test Coeus 3.7 installers for both Windows
and Mac
- Work on Coeus 3.8, This will be released in about 6 weeks.
- Start learning Java and JBuilder.
- Investigate Sybase tools that convert PowerBuilder Code to Java
- Work with Chuck in testing and evaluating Roles Java APIs
COEUS Accomplishments for May 2001:

- Worked with Mohammed in building Coeus 3.7 Installers. Installer for
Mac is complete and tested. It has been made available to select
departments. Windows installer is complete, needs some more testing.
- Deployed Coeus 3.7 at the learning center.
- Completed design for Conflict of Interest module that needs to be
implemented in Coeus 3.8.
- Implemented 6 new functionality that has to be part of Coues 3.8
- OSP reported a bug in Coeus production version that needed to be
fixed, and provided a patch for the same
- Decided to pass on Sybase PowerBuilder to Java conversion tools

- Set up "report" userid on CULEBRA for generating reports
- Set up documentation for key SAPweb maintenance tasks
- Make requested changes to displayed help desk phone numbers
- Add requested internal provider to SAPweb
- Create plan for setting up access for Facilities dept.
- Determine feasibility of providing automated SAP system status updates
to SAPweb customers
SAPweb Accomplishments for May 2001:

- Arranged for ASST to maintain SAPweb test server SPORKIE.
- Set up userid "usgrpts" on CULEBRA for generating reports.
- Theresa Regan and Jeff Harrington added a new internal provider.
- Began planning to provide SAPweb access for Facilities
- Began planning for long-term SAPweb maintenance

Telecom Goals for May 2001:

- Analyze and prepare the rate change of phone and non-phone to
understand what modification needs to be done.
- Analyze the new recommendations of SAP GL feed from customers' request
to estimate what modification involves.
Telecom Accomplishments for May 2001:
--------------------------------------
- Fixed 38 Service Orders.
- Produced 28 adhoc reports (22 of them are from April, but have not been
reported).
- Modified 3100 dorm lines accounts in the database.
- Continued analysis of data and database cleaning in preparation for
phone and non-phone equipment rate changes.
- Analyzed 2 recommendations of SAP GL feed modifications from finance
team.
Telecom Goals for June 2001:
----------------------------
- Continue production support.
- Finish database cleaning related to VDIN equipment rate changes and
start modifications.
- Start work related to Switch replacement.
- Find more about new discovery team for IP billing project.

Issues:

- Need to resolve what operational responsibilities team will have
- Need single local ABST point of contact for purchases and vacations
- Rocklyn will begin working with MIT's Execellence Awards Selection
Committee this month.
- Jana had 9 vacation days in May.
- Rocklyn had 9 vacation days in May.
- Rocklyn will move from N42-240N to N42-250L early in July.
- EAST will have its own cost object in July.

- Don't let chaos surprise you. It is the team leader's job to turn it
into order.
