Project Name: HR-Payroll Project
Project Leader: Dan Fitzgerald
Report Date: March 1, 2001
URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/hrpayroll/

General
----------
- Benefits module is 1st rollout of HR, planned for summer of 2001. Project
team continues to stay on schedule. Significant milestone in Feb included a QA
report by SAP senior consultant. The report was very positive but did include
some deficits around documentation and a section of the requirements
definition. Steps are underway to improve both areas. The development team
also
met a key milestone in Feb, completion of baseline configuration.

Accomplishments in February
-----------------------------------------
- Recruiting design team, focusing especially on applicant tracking component,
completed the current process map and conducted 2 demos.
- Employment verification process team in progress. Completed map of current
process.
- Organization management process team assembled and 1st meeting called.
- Interactive Voice Response vendors evaluated. Focus is on now on 1 vendor,
Talx.

Goals for March
-------------------------
- IVR vendor selected and workplan drafted.
- Improve financial controls around project budget.
- Benefits change management and training plan approved.
- Real data used for conversion testing in SAP development environment.

Issues
--------
- Version 4.6C of SAP requires Workplace to run ESS. Workarounds to support 3
benefits transactions for this summer are being worked.

Additional comments
--------------------------
- Receiving terrific support from IS department on many fronts.
