Project Name: Online Credit Card Processing Delivery
Project Leader: Lorraine Rappaport
Report Date: 10/31/2000
URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/ccard

Accomplishments Past Period:
- Went live with Museum Shop online catalog,
http://web.mit.edu/museum/shop, which was built using ShopSite and
CyberCash. Sales are good! Start your holiday shopping now!
- Got some experience with ShopSite and CyberCash in a production
environment. Both products are functional. As expected, CyberCash has
fairly limited functionality, so it's not an ideal long-term solution.
- Continued poking at ClearCommerce as a long-term solution. Determined
that it is possible to integrate ShopSite with ClearCommerce with
relatively little pain. Learned that ClearCommerce is becoming SAP
certified, which could be useful long-term.
- Started discussions with Document Services to help find solutions to
their short- and longer-term needs
- Presented project update at IT Partners meeting

Goals for Coming Period:
- Round up any remaining concerns and issues associated with ClearCommerce.
Determine whether any of these items are show-stoppers. If not, document
and discuss purchase recommendation with sponsors and other key decision
makers. May require approval by ASPCC.
- Update documentation for merchants
- Work with Document Services to evaluate options for enhancing their
online ordering.
- Meet with Connie Scribner to explore online payment options in the
student services space?

Issues:
-None

Key learnings:
- None

Team Dynamics:
- Fine
