Project Name: Online Credit Card Processing Delivery
Project Leader: Lorraine Rappaport
Report Date: 9/29/2000
URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/ccard

Accomplishments Past Period:
- With WCS, Museum, and PSB, got the Museum Shop's online catalog to the
point of being production ready (the site goes live on Monday, 10/2)
- Registered and configured a CyberCash account for the Museum. Trained
the Museum on transaction management, tested transaction authorization and
settlement, activated account with the bank merchant account, and flipped
the switch (okay, really we clicked the button, but that doesn't sound as
dramatic!) to go live, and ran our first production order through the
system (very soon after which we will process a return, because we used my
credit card!!!!)
-Received and began to review a proposal from ClearCommerce for credit card
processing software that we are considering for a longer-term solution (as
an alternative/replacement to CyberCash).
-Began evaluation of what work would be required to integrate ShopSite with
ClearCommerce.

Goals for Coming Period:
- Roll out the Museum Shop catalog on Monday
- Evaluate how ShopSite and CyberCash do in real life
- Demo CyberCash to other interested merchants to get their feedback on the
functionality and how it fits with their plans
- Finish evaluation of ClearCommerce integration concerns
-Compare CyberCash reality with ClearCommerce promise and move toward, if
not actually make a recommendation for the longer-term

Issues:
-None

Key learnings:
- None

Team Dynamics:
- Pretty good. Feeling good that we have been able to meet the Museum Shop
deadline. Keeping our fingers crossed that nothing blindsides us on Monday.
