Dear Group: here's my proposal for use statistics reports on Advance.
With GLIS, we've been getting quarterly (previously monthly) reports
of charges, renewals, discharges, sorted by GLIS material type and
also by patron category. What I'm proposing for the future is
similar, with a little streamlining. Let me know what you all think.
(David Ferriero doesn't need anything more than what is proposed

Reports issued quarterly (as we do currently)
Two parts to the report; each report by Advance Sublocation; each
report includes total charges.
1. charges, including renewals, sorted by Advance Collection: current
quarter, previous quarter (plus current year/previous year, when available)
2. charges, including renewals, sorted by Advance patron TYPE. Same
as above.
This streamlines things somewhat -- no discharges count, and renewals
would not be counted separately. There are about 40 patron type
categories; that's a lot, but the only streamlining we could do here,
I guess, would be by patron GROUP, which is just three broad categories
(P-Card, BLC, and everyone else). Also we need the types count for
the BLC.
