We use vmps and a fallback vlan to give students an ip that is valid
only for going to a registration webpage.
The dns server they get returnsthe same ip regardless of where they try
The open their webbrowser, get a registration page, fill it out and then
a half hour later their port is active.
This is our third year doing it and it has worked exceptionally well.
