We've been trying out
BigBrother
http://bb4.com/bb/ for a demo
http://www.bb4.com for main site
Similar to NetSaint: Monitor up/down, lots else, of devices on the network.
NetSaint appears to have recently modified there product to allow updates
from BigBrother. I'm intrested in how this plays out.

In the past, we've used...
o VisualPulse: Shows stats on up/down/packet loss info
By VisualWare, http://www.visualware.com/visualpulse/
o What's Up: 'pings' devices with 'network map' visual layouts
