It's a wee bit off the focus of ResNet proper, but I wanted to do an
informal poll and see what solutions everyone's using for lab machines
for computer science students/coursework (for those of you who handle it
through academic computing instead of your EE/Comp Sci department).

Right now, we're using Compaq Alpha workstations running Tru64 Unix;
however, with the imminent demise of the Alpha platform, we're looking at
some alternatives, including:

* Compaq DS-10 workstations with Tru64;

* x86 boxes with Linux (which also gives us more re-use/dual-use
possibilities if we could swap HDDs and put Windows on there)

* SunRay virtual terminals

Before we take the big leap into new systems, I wanted to see what other
schools are using. If you'd like to save bandwidth, e-mail me directly
(instead of the list) and I'll compile the results and post them to the
list.

Thanks!
