Hello all,

A trend that we've been noticing over the past few years is an increasing number of people on ResNet, which is leading to lower numbers in our Residence Hall Labs (one lab per hall).

From what we've noticed, students come to our labs for only a few purposes:
- Printing (which has skyrocketed due to professors using powerpoint slides, etc).
- To use the occasional program that they may not have on their own computer.

So I have a couple questions for all of you...

Are you also noticing lab usage declining?

What has been your reaction to this situation? (Have you scaled back, or tried to make the labs more attractive to students).

Currently we staff the labs for partial time, and we try to offer the latest cpu hardware and
software.

Thanks all. Have a good day.
