Our Director of our networking department brought up an interesting
point. There is a pretty big difference (at least for us) between the
total number of possible users and the average number of connected
users. Our total number of possible connected users is probably around
3000, but he figured that our average number of connected users was
around 1000. That makes for two fairly different ratios.
Oh yeah, we have a T3 with a 12 meg pipe and a T1 for redundancy. There
are fairly strict packet shaping policies in place (most things are
blocked all together).
