Hi Nick,
Are you using Windows System Image Manger that is included with WAIK to =
create a sysprep file? Part of sysprep gives an option to copy the administ=
rator profile over to the default user profile. You run sysprep to automate=
a lot of configuration changed before doing your final tweaks specific for=
you user. I have been using this method since the release of Win7 and it w=
orks well. Here is more info on the option in sysprep. If you need more gui=
dance, feel free to contact me.

Subject: Windows 7 Default User Modification
All,
We=92ve tried a whole host of techniques for imaging Windows 7, and we=92v=
e had a fair amount of success, but one thing that is a constant headache f=
or us is trying to modify / customize the default user profile. We=92ve f=
ound very comfortable work around (probably best practices anyway) for some=
things but there are other profile-specific changes that we need to make f=
or every user who logs onto a machine, and just haven=92t found a good way =
to do that in Win 7 like we could with XP.
Does anyone have any success stories? Tips, tricks, techniques, third part=
y solutions?
I=92d love to hear from you.
Thanks!
