All of our Exchange 2010 and Sharepoint servers are on closed, internal networks with an
F5 load-balancer in front serving only 80/443, on-campus or off-campus.  Nobody connects
to them directly.

Our CAS servers also support secure IMAP (993) and mail submission (587) and these
services are also provided through the F5s.

You get a consistent behavior regardless of where you are connecting.
