It is our pleasure to announce the 2012 ResNet Student Technology
Conference (formerly known as the ResNet Symposium) at The Claremont
Colleges! Early bird registration runs through Friday, May 4, 2011.

Registration and other information is available on our website:
www.resnetsymposium.org/resnet2012. Presentations will be available in the
following themes: Education & Learning Technologies, Security & Policy,
Support Operations, Mobility, Leadership and Management, and Cool Tools. The
conference website will be updated with detailed presentation descriptions as
soon as they are available - quite a bit of information is there now.

In addition to the conference program sessions, we are also offering a number
of Professional Development Seminars (PDS). Seminars include a past favorite,
Brandon Enright's “Windows Technical Fundamentals for Understanding and
Cleaning Malware”, as well as a seminar led by ResNet's past president, Dee
Childs, entitled "You 3.0: Version Control and Change Management for Your
Career”. For a full list of seminars as well as their descriptions, visit the PDS
page on our website (http://resnetsymposium.org/resnet2012/pds).

Claremont is a beautiful place during June. With the Conference being held on
three different campuses within The Claremont Colleges, you will have the
opportunity to see three distinctive types of architecture and experience three
different cultures, all within a few minutes' walk.

The Colleges are located within a five minute's walk from the Claremont Village,
with shopping, excellent dining, and movie theaters. We're also about 15-20
minutes' drive from 10,000 feet and Mount Baldy (where one of the Tour of
California's most difficult and legendary stages) and less than an hour from
Disneyland, which is, coincidentally, where we are holding our closing dinner . .
. perhaps you've heard.

We have four formal "Networking Activities" planned for your Thursday
afternoon - http://www.resnetsymposium.org/resnet2012/conference-
schedule/free-day-activities/ - these have transportation costs associated
with them, so be aware of that. This will be charged in the registration section,
and several do have maximums associated with them!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact host@resnetsymposium.org.

We hope to see you in June!

-Karmel (Scripps), Matt (Pomona), and Mike (Claremont McKenna) - co-hosts
all!
