DroidX on Verizon running TouchDown email/pim.
I disable sync in TouchDown when I go to bed, and enable it again when I
get up. TouchDown also has the ability to define time periods during
which it will and won't sync, but my sleep schedule varies enough that
I've just gotten into the habit of doing it manually.
We use NotifyLink to sync smartphones, and I've used its filtering
capabilities to not sync email from Intermapper. Things that are
important enough to require immediate response 24x7 are sent via sms.
I use Handcent SMS which allows user-specific "ringtones" for sms
notification. The one I use for Intermapper is the loudest, most
obnoxious one I could find so it wakes me up. The default is relatively
benign and I usually sleep thru it. In rare instances I've changed the
default to silence (manually) for the night (Intermapper still sounds
alert).
