We here at California Baptist are a Dell shop. Meaning that Dell is the primary PC vender we use and rely on. We currently have about 400 Dell staff/faculty machines on campus. We are basically satisfied with the machines and their reliability. We just went to a four year Gold/Pro support warrantee.
As I and just a few other guys in the office are the only ones dealing with Dell Gold/Pro support, I am rarely disappointed in the support we receive. Parts are next day and we mainly do hardware repairs out selves on desk tops, but has a Dell tech come out for laptop repairs. We are not an authorized repair facility.

Subject: satisfaction question
Folks
It seems as if every year this question comes up. I am sorry for repeating it, however we are looking at are largest computer refresh (upgrade) ever on our campus (430 computers). Therefore we want to make sure that we are getting the biggest bang for our buck. My Director and I were considering the possibility of changing our computer vendor. We have three questions and would appreciate any responses.
* What brand of computer do you use (manufacturer, as in Lenovo, HP, etc)?
* How satisfied are you with their reliability and serviceability?
* Are you an authorized warranty repair service for the brand your school uses?
Thank you in advance for your information. Your experiences will help us to think through our options.
