I recently received a form letter, questionare and brochure from Digital
Equipment Corp. regarding a product called "ChannelWorks". The letter says
that "... your existing Cable TV wiring could provide you with a
high-bandwidth, low-cost way to network your computers -- and gain access to
the Internet."

The whole thrust of this mailing is to collect information not convey it. I
dutifully completed the questionare and sent it in. They are supposed to
send me some more information, (and a free Internet Access Guide!).

The enclosed brochure offers no technical details just more hype.

Snake oil or what? Anyone else see this mailing? Has anyone tried this out,
does it work? Help?

Thanks...
