I would like to gently remind readers of this list that there are
fashions in politics, in law, in morality and in religion. Some people
describe these fashions as a pendulum that swings back and forth.
As a result of these fashions, one man's criminal or terrorist is often
another man's freedom fighter.
Nelson Mandella is the elected leader of a nation. In the past he was
imprisoned as a criminal, for activities that the prevailing fashion
labelled terrorist and subversive.
The hackers who are presently being labelled criminal may be regarded a
few years from now as early electronic freedom-fighters.
I believe that it is a mistake to categorize or label people based on
prevailing politics, law, morality or religion because I have seen that
as governments change, so do the fashions.
