Tin version 1.22 is currently installed in the sipb locker for sun,
dec, linux, and rs6k. Tin is a full-screen threading curses-based
newsreader with support for xterm's mouse handling feature (try
clicking on a newsgroup in your xterm!). Tin supports threading via
NOV (that is, on the server) and has mime support (via the metamail
package; you probably want to do `add mime' and `add graphics'
beforehand). The user interfaces is based more on the `notes' system
than `readnews'; this is nothing like rn. Most actions are handled
with the arrow keys. (we're using the NNTP version with NOV support
here at MIT; ignore the manpage information about cdtin, tind, etc.)
Bug reports, questions, etc. should go to bug-sipb@mit.edu
