JBuilder 10 (P.E.) has been installed on Athena. JBuilder is an integrated
Java development environment from Borland. It comes with an internal JDK
(1.4.2_01). From my announcement to users:

JBuilder 10 Personal Edition is now available.
To run it now:

        add jbuilder
        jbuilder -ver 10 &

We plan to make it the default JBuilder version in Summer 2004 unless a
newer release is out by then.

Release notes and "What's New?" are at:

http://jbuilder_v10/www/release_notes.html
http://jbuilder_v10/www/whatsnew.html

and there is the usual extensive online documentation.

In this release, we have configured it to use ant in the sipb locker as
a helper application and builds that require ant should work transparently.

As before, The default location for your projects is a directory
jbproject within your home directory. Jbuilder 10 also creates two small,
hidden directories containing configuration files- these are normally
.primetimeX and .jbuilderX in your home directory, but as they are
platform-dependent, these are made symbolic links to one of two
platform-dependent hidden directories for Sun or Linux (.jbuilderX.$ATHENA_SYS
and .primetimeX.$ATHENA_SYS). It may also create a .borland directory with
license files.
