I've updated CHEMKIN on Athena to release 3.7 and added a new Linux version-
it's now available for all Athena platforms. CHEMKIN is an application for
investigating problems in elementary gas-phase chemical kinetics. From my
announcement to current users:
CHEMKIN 3.7 is now available on Athena and a new Linux version has been added.
To run it now type:
add chemkin
chemkin -ver 3.7
at the Athena prompt. There is a lot on online documentation in pdf format,
accessible through the GUI. To build sample applications:
add chemkin_v3.7
source /mit/chemkin_v3.7/cshrc
cd ~/reaction/chemkin37/samples
buildsamples
It will put local user configuration files below ~/reaction/chemkin37 in your
home directory- initially about 500K per platform. Note that there are separate
configuration directories for each platform, as ~/reaction/chemkin37 is
an AFS @sys link to a "dot directory" .chemkin37.${ATHENA_SYS}.
We don't plan to make this version the Athena default until IAP 2003. Please
send questions/comments to the 3partysw@mit.edu mailing list.
