I've installed the 1.3.1_02 Java Developemnt Kit on Athena and made it
the default (Sun and Linux- SGI has a comparable 1.3.1-MR
release). This was the most recent production release available at
installation time. I also installed the latest 1.4.0 prerelease, in
the java_v1.4.0rc locker (Sun and Linux), replacing an earlier prerelease
in the java_v1.4.0b locker. This prerelease comes with a 90 day license
and must be deleted by 4/28/02.
