I've updated the "go" compiler for the Go programming language on Athena
to 1.1. To set up for using it, type
setup ggo
at the Athena prompt. Various usage options and access to documentation
are listed at
http://ist.mit.edu/node/1403#Go

The "go" compiler for the go language on Athena has been updated to
release 1.1 and this version has been made the default.
Release notes for this version are at http://golang.org/doc/go1.1
Please note that this compiler (in the ggo lockers) is different from
the "gccgo" compiler in the debathena release. The latter remains at the
1.0 level and is likely to remain one or more versions behind the "go"
compiler for the forseeable future.
