I've updated TAO/PETSC/petsc4py on Athena to 2.1p1/3.3p6/3.3.1
respectively. To set up for using these, type
setup tao-petsc
and work in the terminal window that opens. From my message to users:
TAO and PETSc on Athena have been updated to 2.1p1 and 3.3p6
respectively.
PETSc is a suite of data structures and routines for the scalable
(parallel) solution of scientific applications modeled by partial
differential equations.
TAO is software for solving large-scale optimization problems. It uses
an object-oriented design to create a flexible toolkit with strong
emphasis on the reuse of external tools (it is designed to run on top of
PETSc).
petsc4py is a Python implementation of PETSc.
