I have updated WebEQ on Athena to release 2.3.1. WebEQ is a Java application
that allows users to embed mathematical equations and notation in Web pages.
To run the new release, do:
setup webeq_v2.3.1
and follow the instructions in the window that appears. Documentation and
examples are available starting from URL
http://web.mit.edu/webeq_v2.3.1/WebEQ/2.3/docs/welcome.html
It will not become the default until Summer 1999. The main change from the
earlier 2.2.0 release is closer compliance with the emerging MathMML
standard for encoding mathematics into Web pages.
