I have installed a new release of Net Entrez on Athena (6.60) and an
associated 3d molecular image viewer Cn3D (2.0.1). There is now a new
Linux version also; however for Linux, only Cn3D will run on pre-Athena 8.2
Linux Athena releases.
Net Entrez is a network tool for searching various molecular structure
databases and journal articles relating to these; Cn3D is a nifty 3d image
viewer that can also be configured as a Netscape helper application, that can
diplay 3d molecular images for molecules found in the database. It is
similar to rasmol, which is also on Athena.
