Today at 13:02 rosebud2 fell off the net.
I charged into the machine room at someone less than
my usual speed, after so many false alarms, but in truth,
charging in was the right approach.
It look a while to login, and while that was being attempted, I
checked the hub to which rosebud was plugged in to, and swapped it's
cable from port 6 to port 12 (the link light moved with it). This
didn't help.
When I finally got a root shell, I checked logs quickly and found
nothing, and then ifconfig down'd and ifconfig up'd ln0, and rosebud
magically came back.
I don't have any particular explanation for this lossage.
Sounds a lot like a sun4m bug we all know and love ;-)
