I took a look at the specs. It looks like the Eliant should be ok,
but it's worth noting that according to the specs, it can't write 8200
or 8200c series tapes (which the 8505 can). It also looks like the
Eilant can't read 8200c series tapes (which does seem a little weird,
since it can read 8200.) The only reason this could be an issue for
us is if our older exabyte tapes are written in 8200c format, and I
think it's much more likely that they are just 8200. Come to think of
it, I'm not sure I've heard of 8200c before.
