The Eliant 820 can read/write to 8500/8500C series tapes and read 8200
series tapes. The specs did not mention what mode the drive is
capable of reading/writing. It has a 14GB compreseed/7GB uncompressed
capacity.
Unless I hear otherwise, I'll order the drive tomorrow.
