I believe that the 1 million copies sold is the number of packages which
they have sent out (both as new copies and as upgrade copies). I believe
(although IBM announcements have never made clear) that the figure does
not take into account corporate licensing (e.g. ship a corporation 20
boxes to the IS manager when the corporation has just bought 5,000
licenses). This is just a rumor as far as I know. If it is true, it
would raise the figures substantially, but not as much as some of the
unfortunately-rabid-even-if-well-intending OS/2 supporters are speculating.
