Anybody seen these ads yet? I don't watch much TV.

IBM Hits TV with OS/2 Ads 08/18/92
WHITE PLAINS, NEW YORK, U.S.A., 1992 AUG 18 (NB) -- IBM's upped the
advertising stakes in the operating system fight with Microsoft. TV ads
for OS/2 2.0 will hit the airwaves starting Wednesday during programs
such as the US Tennis Open, Good Morning America, and 20/20, and cable
outlets such as CNN, ESPN and A&E.
Although many computer firms have shunned television for its too-broad
reach, IBM has chosen to hit mainstream America directly. "We're always
looking at ways to expand the OS/2 user base and feel television affords
us this opportunity," Michael Coleman, vice president, IBM's National
Distribution Division, said in a press release.
The campaign, dubbed "New Heart," advises, "If a computer's at the heart
of what you do, OS/2 should be at the heart of your computer." Ads will
also appear in the conventional trade publications, and in national and
local newspapers.
