GNU Emacs 18.58 is installed on cutter-john. It works quite well. My .emacs and c-mode worked without changes (except for load-path). Subprocesses work, so you can use M-x shell. It uses termcap, with real termcap files; I stuck the xterm entry from /etc/termcap and it seems to be working. Ping! Now there is simply no excuse to use Windows. :-)
