Err...
Kirk asked us, at a meeting of FSILG presidents, what kind of concerns our
houses had with the new dining system. Institutionally, we're concerned
about dorm-dwelling frosh (and upperclassmen) being forced by the system to
eat on campus. (Given the history of administrative decisions screwing us
over, I'd say that's quite reasonable.)
I'm just as against mandatory on-campus dining as you are, purely
on principle. (So, I'm sure, are all the other presidents.) In addition,
it would be bad for the future of my house. There's no contradiction there.
Your email is unfair. Just because we care about the impact of this
decision on our future survival, when asked about it in a meeting in that
context, does not make us unfeeling evil monsters.
