The funny thing about this is that we all assume that Sue knows what the hell
she is doing. Maybe she "shouldn't be doing things that way" but if there is
some emotional points in either relationship (with Bob or Jeff) then why
assume she is going to act in a rational manner? I never did in certain
unsimilar but equally nasty situations, and neither did anybody else who was
involved. Sue probably is not really certain how she feels, but needs to
think that she does, so she buys into however she feels at the moment. Since
that changes quite often (like minute-to-minute basis), everybody ends up
hurt. If Sue knew that she really didn't like Bob, she'd give him the Big No
and get it over with; but since she isn't sure she's hedging her bets.

Your right, though, it sux. Like everything else about being human. Can't
do a damn thing about _that_ though, so you just gotta deal with it. Maybe sit
Sue down and see what in the wide, wide world of sports she thinks she's doing.
