Connected to the thread (and [4143, "idiots"]), if not the meeting...

I've always been unimpressed by people who cite "first amendment
protections" against the MIT harassment "policy." The 1st amdmt says, if
you read it, "Congress shall pass no law...." MIT, whatever else it may be,
is not Congress, and is not prevented by the US Constitution from passing
any rules and regulations it likes.

I'm pretty unimpressed by MIT's harrassment policy myself (though I
wouldn't go so far as to burn their booklet) , but if I were going to argue
against it, the US Constitution is not the place to look for supporting
arguments. Self-consistency, morality, common sense... those are reasonable
places to look. Maybe the Massachusetts constitution, I don't know, or
MIT's charter if it has one.
