Well, I only got stitches on my eyelid, not actually touching the eye, but it was remarkably painless, at least in comparison to the removal of an ingrown toenail, which hurts like hell for days. This just itches. And itches. And itches... I'm almost tempted to remove the stitches myself - abruptly. Sharp pain would be preferable to this torture.
