I find it remarkably odd that an injection of novocaine in the vicinity
of one's eye is orders of magnitude less painful than in the toe.
It also seems odd that physical injury and pain can feel almost
pleasant; a release from the mental variety, which is by far the
more severe of the two. The effectiveness of painkillers can be
considered to be unfortunate on occasion.
Well, now it's beginning to itch...
