I get messages like that all the time.
People seem to think that once they've seen me answer a question on
the Usenet, they can write to me about any questions that they have,
whenever they want.
Worse, some people seem to think that once I've responded to one of
their Usenet postings with an E-mail answer, they can ask me any
questions they want in E-mail from that point on.
Finally, people seem to think that the address
postmaster@pit-manager.mit.edu can be used for any questions at all.
In fact, it is supposed to be used only for correspondence about
problems with mail services on pit-manager.
I wish I could be nice and answer all of the questions. I used to.
But I just don't have time any more. And people get miffed, all too
often, when I tell them that.
