I don't think what I posted has much to do with Usenet.
The fourth part of your reply was interesting, though, if
the pit-manager name and its services will be on a SIPB
machine by springtime (maybe less interesting if you won't
be keeping the name, for some reason). Maybe you could
send some information about the postmaster mail volume
to one of the SIPB lists, when you have time.
