>It's very painful when someone you know and trust... You could, of course, use this observation as a basis for trusting no one, but that ends up being a lose too, as we humans are social animals, and not trusting anyone makes for an anti-social life. Of course, I suppose it would have its rewards too (emotional stability, for one thing).
