So let's not bash on each other. Until now, I did not realize how much
it bothered so many people, and how much bridge-hate there is.
In the future, I will try to be less emphatic about bridge while
non bridge players are in the office. Lately I've been learning that the
friendly banter about things (like MUD, Bridge, NERO, assassin) really
gets on peoples nerves; even though you don't mean it to, and are not doing
anything terribly wrong, people still REALLY don't want to hear about it.
I have just started playing MUD, and frequently will be in the office
with others that are playing also. We tend to talk out loud (becuase the
MUD interface sucks) to communicate, and although the MUD players don't realize
it, some of the other people in the room want to strangle us. If you are one
of these people, please *tell* us (politely of course) and we will stop.
I never realized it until someone finally did say "Look, the shouting in here
is really annoying, and I can't get any work done. Can you please tone it
down?" Make us aware, and hopefully you will see a change for the better.
