Actually, if you don't know how to solve for the speed of the
_frictionless_ cylinder going down the _frictionless_ ramp,
then I'm not sure even the template is there;

1/2mv**2 = mgh


I think it's still easy enough to remember things that you learn
that are interesting to you.  If they are not, then why do you 
take the course?  If take the course because it's required for 
you but it is not of interest to you, then why do you care what
you remember and what not?  The only tragic situation I can think
of is if you are _really_ interested in something but cannot 
succeed in learning it.  That, in my experience, does not happen.
