Yes--I got a MA license in Jan. and I had to
1. turn in my NJ license
2. pay $70 !!
3. take a 10-question multiple-choice written test
(you need to make an appointment and the questions
do not necessarily have obvious answers if you haven't
studied by reading the booklet they give you)
4. pass a vision test
5. get the picture, etc.
The procedure was changed not too long before I got my license.
You need insurance before you can register because your
registration is considered proof of insurance--you do not get
an "insurance card" from your company like in other states.
