I just heard from the NSF, which, as you might have guessed by the fact
that this is coatrack and not ping, didn't give me any money. I'm
neither terribly upset, nor terribly surprised. They gave me an
honorable mention, which I interpret to mean, basically "You're a good
student, but since you're not on tenure track, we're not going to give
you any money, sorry." So I guess I can deal.
Still, money is always nice.
