This machine does not have permission to use the bloom-beacon.mit.edu news server.
"rn" should have reported the status message I saw with telnet. "This
machine does not have permission" is the kind of message that makes me
chase down and bother the maintainers of net news until they fix it.
"bloom-beacon is down" will make me try again later.

I've installed a version of rrn which should fix this in the sipb
locker. The next time news goes down, you can test it :-). It'll be
released with the volume release tonight.
