The problem with webster is that we just recently started running a
back-up news server on snorkelwacker, the machine that processes
webster requests. Since the news server is always busy, the load on
the machine has gone up, so webster has been running more slowly.

We are in the process of moving the webster server to another
machine which is less busy, at which point performance should improve
significantly.

  Sorry for the inconvenience.
