Last I looked at it, snork's load average was <1.0 most of the time,
although I haven't looked at it recently.
There's also a really big cluster just next door that people can use.
There was this concept that "dialup" was going to be moved over to
SIPB as an additional workstation, to replace snork (which was
originally allocated to SIPB as a news server, I think..).
Whatever happened to that?
Is the SIPB office just supposed to be a terminal room for the
members?
