Has anyone actually had a problem that could be traced to this?
Negative does not mean that what we do is right, but positive is a
really good way to show we are wrong.
Incidentally, are there more than a single-digit number each of
pmax_ul4, vax_bsd43, hp700_*, sgi_5*, sun4os_*, sun4?_5[^6], or
i386_linux1 systems out there? i.e. is there any reason to care any
more about anything but sun4x_56, sgi_6[23], i386_{linux[23],nbsd1},
and alpha_dux4?
