Jered concurred:
| I agree; there shold be only one version, and it should be a version

Just to re-iterate, there are 3 places xmcd seems to want to go:
The sipb locker
The consult locker
The audio locker
I believe we have a commitment from Jered to support xmcd in the sipb
locker.
The consult locker installation appears to be defunct; it never was installed
for multiple platforms.
The audio locker installation is somewhat dated and there appears to be
no support commitment whatsoever associated with it (rather the contrary,
given /mit/audio/README:
This is the audio locker. The purpose of the locker initially was to
provide a dumping space for some sounds, but a few programs made their
way in.
Further, the audio locker is not replicated space and is in the net cell,
which makes it somewhat less desirable space from a community viewpoint.
Therefore, are there any objections on the part of the audio or consult
maintainers in moving xmcd to the sipb locker?
Thanks!
