I looked at it moderately hard the last time this came up. Fixing it for
Lucid is not easy. Even simply recompiling with modern libraries was
going to be a pain, and I dropped it.
The program isn't very large but it's elegant at what it does, and I have
my doubts whether a "simple" perl/python script could be substituted for
it. I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
