Hi, everyone! This is an electronic copy of a flyer I'll be bringing to the
summer meeting on Saturday for every one of you and also mailing to all the
chapters. I'm sending it now so you can forward it to whoever needs to see
it and to people that aren't going to see the _real_ copies. Let me know if
you're interested!
Thanx in advance...
iLFS,
Scott

The Alpha Tau Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega invites you to join them on
Saturday, August 28th from 9 am to 3 pm at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis
for a chance to help beautify a part of the nation's largest city park. We
will be clearing weeds and small shrubs from the causeway on the reservoir.
The park management calls this "reclaiming the causeway". We will also be
clearing trash from the water nearby. It will involve physical, but not
backbreaking, labor.
For you APO'ers, this is an opportunity to get in some early service hours and
could be incorporated with pledging. (That's our intention, anyway.) This is
also a chance to become better acquainted with Scouting, if you are not well
acquainted already. At least one troop (maybe more) will be joining us. It's
also a great excuse for a road-trip! (What more could you ask for?)
For you Scouts, this is yet another wonderful opportunity to get some service
hours on your way to advancement and a great way for older boys to see how they
may continue their service efforts at the collegiate level.
You should bring a change of clothes because it will be dirty (and possibly
muddy) work. Wear clothing and especially shoes that can get wet because some
of us will be wading the water to pick up trash. Bring working gloves if you
have them. Tools will be provided by the park.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you're going to be able to join
us. Thanks in advance for your help. Also, if you would ever like to invite
us to do something with you, let us know. We would be more than happy to help.
